Another win for M&P! Our Motion for Summary Judgment was recently granted in Hartford Superior Court in a personal injury negligence matter. The Plaintiff is a mental health worker who was accompanying his patient to an appointment in an ambulance operated by our Insured. The Plaintiff was injured when he attempted to assist in the removal of the patient from the ambulance despite the fact that he was not responsible for doing so. We filed a Motion for Summary Judgment arguing that our Insured owed no duty to the Plaintiff as he was neither an employee nor a patient of the ambulance service. After oral argument, Judge Shapiro issued a decision agreeing with our position and granted the motion.
