Whitney is a partner in the firm's Boston office and her practice has concentrated on complex civil litigation, with a special focus on toxic tort litigation. Whitney began her legal career at a well-respected litigation firm in Boston, where she had the opportunity to serve as both local and national counsel to a wide variety of clients in the defense of their toxic tort and asbestos litigation. In addition, Whitney served more than 13 years assisting with the day-to-day management of the firm’s role as court-appointed Defendants' Liaison Counsel in Massachusetts consolidated asbestos docket. In that capacity, she worked extensively with the court, the court-appointed Special Master, plaintiffs’ and defense counsel on pre-trial schedules, trial settings, motions, global docket issues, and docket management. Whitney is honored to continue her work with Liaison Counsel as a member of the Executive Committee.
Whitney has extensive experience with developing successful client-specific and case-specific defenses for her clients, including the retention and development of expert witnesses, coordination of complex discovery, always while trying to be creative in achieving the best results for the client as efficiently as possible. Whitney believes in the power and value of strong relationships with all parties in securing the best outcome for her clients.
