Chase is a native of Ohio and a graduate of Miami University. He attended Suffolk University Law School. At Suffolk, Chase served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of High Technology Law and published an article titled, A Comparative Analysis: Current Solutions to the Anticommons Threat.

Prior to joining Melick & Porter, Chase worked for a criminal defense and immigration law firm in Boston. He was also a member of the Committee for Public Counsel Services' Post-Conviction and Appeals Unit where he represented indigent clients throughout the appellate process, including argument before the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

At Melick & Porter, Chase’s law practice involves general liability and toxic tort defense in both federal and state courts. 

Outside the office, Chase enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling with his wife Lauren, and sailing.
