Our Workers’ Compensation Practice Group counsels self-insured employers and insurance companies on a broad array of matters throughout the workers’ compensation process, from advice on claims when they are initially filed through formal hearings and appeals. The types of cases we handle include alleged exposure to asbestos and other toxic substances, repetitive stress injuries, injuries with alleged associated psychological trauma, and injuries involving disputes between successive insurers.
We serve as regional and statewide counsel to many clients. Our attorneys efficiently defend a high volume of more routine workers’ compensation cases, and are as equally adept at handling claims presenting unique legal and evidentiary issues.
In addition to litigation defense, our Workers’ Compensation Practice Group conducts risk management programs. We provide employers with anticipatory advice and recommendations to help them reduce the likelihood of workplace injuries and minimize potential exposure. This proactive approach also helps clients to be well-positioned in the event of litigation.
